As a NASCAR driver, you almost regularly experience the thrill of driving high-performance cars. However, this is not enough for many drivers. Due to their love of speed, some of them crave adrenaline even when off the track. And that’s why drivers like Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson and Joey Logano, among others, have the coolest and rarest cars in their collections.
However, NASCAR’s favorite driver, Chase Elliott, may not be impressed.

During his recent appearance on the Pat McAfee show, Chase Elliott was asked to share the details of his car collection. The show’s co-host quoted how much he himself loves speed and encouraged Elliott to talk about what he drives on a daily basis. But little did he know that Elliott would have such a surprising answer.

Chase Elliott has a shocking reaction to his car collection
Once the host asked Elliott where he finds his off-track speed, Elliott said: “That’s a great question. And that’s probably not the norm… I think there are some people who collect cars, I’ve just never been a car collector.”
“I don’t really have a collection of cars. The driving aspect and the race was my solution. This has always been my speed fix. I’ve never really needed anything else.”
That was shocking as many expected the driver to have a massive car collection, especially since the $12 million driver (according to Celebrity Net Worth) has a racing background. Surprised by his response, the show’s host Pat McAfee immediately exclaimed: “So you’re driving a minivan out there? Chase, are you driving a minivan out there?”
And Elliott continued his series of unexpected replies, replying with a smile: “Yes! If Chevrolet sold a nice minivan, I would consider it.”
Chase Elliott’s return to the railroad tracks
In early 2023, Chase Elliott broke his tibia in a snowboarding accident. As a result, the Hendrick Motorsports driver had to undergo surgery and missed six races. But now all Elliott fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Because according to recent reports from Fox Sports, Elliott is ready to return to the track at the upcoming race in Martinsville.
